Steelers pick up fifth-year option for David DeCastro

The Pittsburgh Steelers have picked up a $8 million fifth-year option for offensive guard David DeCastro.

DeCastro is now under contract through 2016.

DeCastro is due $2.5 million this season.

DeCastro was drafted 24th overall in 2012 out of Stanford.

DeCastro has overcome a torn anterior cruciate ligament as a rookie.
