Steelers rookie suspended following DUI arrest

The Pittsburgh Steelers have suspended rookie defensive lineman Alamada Ta'amu for two weeks following his DUI arrest over the weekend.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin made the announcement, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, saying Ta'amu would not be allowed in the team's facility for the duration of his suspension. Ta'amu was inactive for last Thursday night's game in Tennessee.

Ta'amu faces felony charges of fleeing police and aggravated assault while driving drunk, as well as three counts of aggravated assault after officers said he nearly ran them down with his vehicle in the Sunday night incident.
