Steve Sabol will be treated for brain tumor
Steve Sabol, the president of NFL Films, has been diagnosed with a “primary tumor” on the left side of his brain, according to NFL.com.
Sabol was hospitalized in Kansas City where he was to attend a function. He suffered a seizure and extensive medical tests and evaluations were done. He is expected to undergo both radiation and chemotherapy treatment.
“Steve is in good spirits and is deeply appreciative of everyone’s good wishes,” NFL Films said in a statement.
Sabol’s father Ed Sabol, the founder of NFL Films, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame last month.
