Steven Jackson expecting bigger workload this week
Steven Jackson says he is feeling better after getting only four carries against the Baltimore Ravens last week, and the St. Louis Rams running back has announced he’ll be ready to go Sunday against the Washington Redskins.
Jackson has excelled against the Redskins before, and the Rams badly need to get him back into top form. He pulled a quad muscle on the first offensive play of the season, and still isn’t near 100 percent.
“I'm definitely hoping that last week to this week will change drastically in my playing time,” Jackson said, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “But ultimately we've got to do what's best for the team and whatever the game situation presents. I'm definitely preparing myself to be out there quite a bit."
Jackson might not be ready for a full load but he will be back in action.
