Steven Jackson to have MRI on groin injury

The St. Louis Rams’ victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday didn’t come without a price.

Their best offensive weapon, running back Steven Jackson, was sidelined with a groin injury. Coach Steve Spagnuolo said after the game that he is “fairly” certain it’s not a tear that the team is looking at. However, Jackson will undergo an MRI today to get a clearer idea of what is going on.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams have had discussions about and with Larry Johnson. The veteran was released by the Redskins last week and he could be a decent option to have in the event Jackson is sidelined or simply isn’t 100 percent for a while.
