Strahan: Rex's act becoming a joke

It seems everybody connected to the Jets and Giants are weighing in on Saturday's battle between the two.

With Jets coach Rex Ryan stoking the fire, the topic has become the talk of New York, and on Wednesday former Giant Michael Strahan took a turn, saying Ryan's act was becoming "a joke."

“It’s a fine line whenever you have to talk that much,” Strahan told the New York Daily News. “Once it kind of seems like a joke, it becomes a joke to your own players."

While Ryan has jabbed at the Giants for missing the playoffs the past two seasons, Strahan said Ryan is missing the bigger picture, that it is about winning championships.

“It’s all about winning rings for me. ...If I have to walk into a room and tell you how bad I am, I’m probably not that bad,” Strahan said. “If I’m comfortable in my own skin, I shouldn’t have to convince people of my words. That’s the whole thing with Rex I look at. At some point, you just look and go ‘enough is enough.’ ”
