Suh will make a sales pitch at the Pro Bowl
Detroit Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will not play in the Pro Bowl on Sunday after undergoing shoulder surgery earlier this month.
But he’s not going to miss out on the experience, and he’s traveling to Hawaii. While he’s there, he’s going to give a little sales pitch to prospective free agents and let them know the Lions, who won their final four games, are not the franchise you’ve been accustomed to for the past, oh, decade or so. Some have speculated Detroit will make a push for cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, who is due to be a free agent.
“I'll definitely be up to answering questions and letting them know what my experience is that I've had here," Suh said according to Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit News. "I don't have a problem doing that by any means.
"But to be honest with you, I'm going out there with Calvin and enjoy myself, and hopefully my coach will be able to come and join me there and other players as well. So I'm excited about that and really look forward to doing that and enjoying the game. It's going to be my first and hopefully not my last. But I know I have a lot of work to continue to uphold the standards.”
