TE Daniel Fells returns to the Rams
The St. Louis Rams’ late run at tight end Daniel Fells paid off as he’s agreed to rejoin the team despite being pursued strongly by the New England Patriots.
Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Fells is back in the fold for the Rams, who are in the process of making over their roster. Fells made four starts last season and appeared in 14 games, catching 21 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns. He’s considered a solid blocker in the run game also.
It’s a significant move for the Rams, who only had one other tight end with any experience on the roster in Billy Bajema, who is pretty much just a blocker. Fells is expected to be able to compete for a starting job this season.
