Tebow has only small role for Jets vs. Steelers
The presence of Tim Tebow might give opposing defenses something else to prepare for each week, but on Sunday, his actual playing time wasn't much in the Wildcat formation.
Tebow did not enter the game at quarterback until the 8:31 mark of the third quarter in Sunday's 27-10 loss at Pittsburgh, says the New York Daily News.
Tebow had a 22-yard run on his first play and then handed off to Jets running backs on the next two plays with one being a 12-yard gain and the other resulting in a 6-yard loss.
Other than that, Tebow's primary duties were as personal protector on punt units and carrying the clipboard as the No. 2 quarterback.
The biggest thing surrounding Tebow on Sunday was the fact that Steelers fans booed him, remembering his overtime playoff win against Pittsburgh last year in the playoffs while with Denver.
“I don’t pay attention or listen to it,” he said.
