Tebow told Broncos he would 'love to be Jet'
Tim Tebow said he told the Denver Broncos as they were trying to trade him that he would "love to be a Jet," and that he has a "good relationship" with Jets incumbent starter Mark Sanchez.
At his press conference with the New York media, Tebow also said that while the trade talks were going down that he would have loved to be a Jacksonville Jaguars as well.
In terms of his role with the Jets, he said he sees himself as a quarterback but is open to expanding his role, saying, "I'm a football player first."
Jets owner Woody Johnson, GM Mike Tannenbaum and Coach Rex Ryan were not at the press conference because of the NFL owners meetings.
