Tebow will enter camp as Broncos' starter
John Elway took away the off-season drama and suspense at the Denver Broncos' season-ending press conference by saying that Tim Tebow would enter training camp 2012 as the starting quarterback.
"Tim is the starting quarterback going into training camp," Elway said via the Denver Post. "He made great strides. He has earned the right to be the starter going into training camp next year."
Of course, Tebow is going to enter camp as the starter. By leading the Broncos to a win in the playoffs, Tebow has shown himself worthy of such an opportunity, even though there are still many aspects of his game that need work.
Still, Elway said, the Broncos will look at add other quarterbacks. Part of that is necessity as Brady Quinn will be a free agent and could leave to sign elsewhere.
Elway also said he will help Tebow in his development during the off-season, and a full off-season should help Tebow, especially with his timing and with some of the flaws in his throwing technique.
