Terrell Suggs fined $8,268
Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs was docked $8,268 for a late hit on Steelers running back LeGarrette Blount last Sunday, according to The Baltimore Sun.
On a run, Blount's forward progress appeared stopped with Ravens defenders pushing him backwards. However, Suggs ran over at Blount, lowered his shoulder into his hip and tackled him to the ground, forcing his momentum to suddenly move from one direction to the next.
Suggs was penalized on the play for unnecessary roughness.
After the game, Blount told reporters that Suggs had a reputation for being a dirty player.
In addition, Ravens linebacker Albert McClellan was fined $8,268 for a personal foul and center Jeremy Zuttah was fined $8,268 for an unnecessary roughness penalty from the same game.
