Teryl Austin withdraws from Broncos' coaching search

Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Denver Broncos' head coaching vacancy, according to a league source.

Austin was scheduled to interview Friday.

Now, Austin is expected to remain a top candidate with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Broncos are going to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, who's regarded as the frontrunner for the job.

The Broncos have interviewed offensive coordinator Adam Gase and will interview Cincinnati Bengals secondary coach Vance Joseph.
