The Houston Texans activated veteran free safety Ed Reed from the physically unable to perform list.

Reed underwent offseason hip surgery.

He's now eligible to immediately begin practicing.

The Texans cut Keith Browner, Jake Byrne, Roc Carmichael, Tyler Clutts Cameron Collins, Andy Cruse, Tyler Horn, Delano Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Orhian Johnson, Chris Jones, Deji Karim, Alex Kupper, Elbert Mack, Nate Menkin, Mike Mohamed, EZ Nwachukwu, Jawanza Starling.

Alan Bonner (hamstring), Brennan Williams (knee) and Trevardo Williams go to injured reserve.

The Texans did an injury settlement for Daniel Muir, David Hunter, Mike Smith.
