Texans QB Schaub has MRI on hip

Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub underwent an MRI on a sore hip on Monday morning.

Schaub had already been bothered by a sore shoulder that kept him out of one day of practice last week.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Schaub's hip injury is not expected to keep him from making his scheduled start against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday with first place at stake in the AFC South.

Meanwhile, receiver Andre Johnson, who has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, is still trying to work his way back into the lineup with a goal of playing this weekend. How much he practices this week and how well he does will determine if Johnson can reach his goal.

UPDATE: Texans coach Gary Kubiak said in his Monday press conference that Shaub is "fine" but that he is just "beat up" with a chest bruise as well.
