Texans sign J.J. Watt to $100 million deal
The Houston Texans have signed star defensive end to a six-year, $100 million contract extension that includes $51.876 million guaranteed, according to the Houston Chronicle.
It's a bigger contract than Mario Williams' six-year, $96 million that included $50 million guaranteed, making Watt the highest paid defensive player in NFL history.
Watt is scheduled to sign his contract Tuesday
Watt is due $906,3785 this year and $9.969 million in 2015. He's due a $10 million signing bonus.
Watt is a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year. who had two years remaining on his rookie contract.
