Texans sign Johnathan Joseph to three-year, $22.5 million deal

The Houston Texans signed veteran cornerback Johnathan Joseph to a three-year, $22.5-million contract today that includes $11.5 million guaranteed. Joseph signed a five-year, $48.75 million contract in 2011 and was entering the final year of his contract. He's due a $7 million base salary this year. He's due $6.5 million in 2016 and $6.75 million in 2017. He has $500,000 total in per-game active roster bonuses each year. Joseph, who was entering the last year of the five-year, $48.75 million contract he signed as a free agent in 2011, gets $11.5 million guaranteed.
