Texans sign LT Brown to extension

The Houston Texans have reached a deal on a contract extension for left tackle Duane Brown, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Brown was scheduled to enter the final year of his contract in 2012, but the club had made retaining him a priority. Owner Bob McNair also said that re-signing linebacker Connor Barwin is a priority for the Texans as well.

UPDATE: John McClain reports that Brown's deal is worth $53.4 million over six years with $22.09 million in guaranteed money.
