Texans take care of Bengals, 31-10

The wait was worth it for the Houston Texans, who made their playoff debut in their 10th season in the NFL Saturday night.

The Texans picked off Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton three times in the AFC Wild-Card playoffs and now advance to play at Baltimore next weekend in the divisional round.

Defensive end J.J. Watt's interception return for a touchdown near the end of the first half put the Texans in front 17-10.

Houston then added two more scores in the second half to put the game away with rookie QB T.J. Yates hitting Andre Johnson for a 40-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, and later Arian Foster scoring on a 42-yard run to make the score 31-10.

While Dalton was plagued by turnovers, Yates played mistake-free football, hitting 11 of 20 throws for 159 yards and the one TD.
