Texans' Vickers says Pacman spit in his face

Houston Texans fullback Lawrence Vickers accused Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones of spitting in his face after a play in Sunday's 20-19 Texans victory that clinched the AFC South.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Vickers said Jones grabbed Texans running back Ben Tate's legs on a fumble in order to create space for his teammates. Vickers became upset at Jones and shoved him, and said Pacman responded by spitting in his face.

Vickers said it took all his restraint and some prayer to keep from going after Jones.

“I prayed for that man,” Vickers said. “I had to let the Lord handle him. The Lord don’t put bad things on people, but I left it up to Him. I prayed real hard – I almost lost myself out there.”

Jones, of course, has a history of spitting and other things, as he once was suspended by the Tennessee Titans for a game for allegedly spitting on a woman in a night club. Of course that is just incident in the 14 or so times police have had to intervene regarding Jones.

The police won't intervene in this one, but if what Vickers says is true, then perhaps the long arm of Roger Goodell that once suspended Jones for a year will tap him on the shoulder once again.
