Thomas Howard dies in car crash
Thomas Howard, a linebacker that spent time with the Raiders, Bengals and Falcons, died early Monday morning in a car crash, according to a report from news outlet KRON 4.
Howard, 30, was one of two people that died in a collission, which occurred on Highway 880.
According to the report: Howard was driving approximately 100 mph in a BMW and collided with the back of a semi-truck.
This launched the BMW into the median and onto the other side of the highway, to which the BMW then ran into into a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, which collided with a Honda CR-V.
Howard was selected by the Raiders in the second round of the 2006 draft. He signed a deal with Cincinnati in 2011 and was most recently with the Falcons. He participated in two games with Atlanta this year before the organization released him once Sean Weatherspoon was ready to be activated from the short-term IR list.
