Tickets for rookie quarterback bowl remain
There are roughly 1,200 tickets remaining to the rookie quarterback bowl.
The Carolina Panthers will face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. Panthers rookie Cam Newton is expected to face Jaguars rookie Blaine Gabbert, who reportedly will make his first career start.
But the game won’t be seen locally on television in North Carolina if it’s not sold out. According to Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers have sold out 86 consecutive home games. There are about 4,500 seats remaining for each of the six other remaining home games.
Given the way Newton has played and the excitement level he brings to the Panthers, it’s not going to be surprising if the team keeps its sellout streak in place. He’s been impressive for two weeks and now the Jaguars hope to prove they’ve got a solid young passer themselves.
