Tiki Barber gets sued

Trouble continues to mount for former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber.

The player-turned-broadcaster split from his wife Ginny while she was pregnant and now the couple, er, ex-couple is facing a lawsuit from Tricera Revolution, Inc., according to the Web site TMZ.com.

The company, which produces indoor cycling studios, contracted with the Barbers to be a spokescouple for the product. But Tricera alleges in a lawsuit, according to TMZ, that Barber “fraudulently passed himself off as happily married” in order to cut a deal with the company.

Tricera sought a celebrity couple and paid the Barbers with stock in the company. Now, Tricera would like that stock back because it said Barber was engaged in an affair with 23-year-old former intern Traci Lynn Johnson at the time and intended to split from his wife.

We’ll see how this one proceeds in the court system as Tricera works to prove Barber knew he was misrepresenting himself and his relationship at the time with his wife. We suppose he could always agree to endorse the product with his girlfriend, right?
