Tiki Barber has 'moved forward accordingly'

While Mark Lepselter is splitting hairs over what he said and Sports Illustrated’s Peter King said about free-agent running back Tiki Barber, the agent said his client has “moved forward accordingly.”

Whether that means Barber has abandoned his NFL comeback bid remains to be seen.

Lepselter told King on Sunday that Barber was “flabbergasted” no team had given him an opportunity this summer. The Miami Dolphins had Barber in for a workout but did not extend a contract offer. King reported he heard Barber was “devastated,” a point Lepselter felt was important to pick apart with Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.

The bottom line? Barber isn’t with an NFL team and it’s unlikely a chance is coming at this point.

“This is the last time I am speaking on this subject in any way, shape or form.’’ Lepselter said. “You can’t worry about the things in life you can’t control and Tiki has moved forward accordingly.’’
