Titans could have some interest in Samuel
The Tennessee Titans are among the teams that could be in play to acquire veteran cornerback Asante Samuel, if the Philadelphia Eagles deal him.
According to TitanInsider.com, the Titans have interest in Samuel, who has 45 interceptions in his nine-year NFL career.
Of course, having interest in Samuel is a long way from acquiring him, and it is not known if the Titans would be willing to meet the Eagles' asking price of a high draft pick in exchange for a 31-year-old cornerback.
Tennessee has needs at the position, having lost Cortland Finnegan, but could look to the draft to solve its need at cornerback.
Any team that traded for Samuel would also have to likely rework his current contract that calls for $9.9 million in base pay for 2012 and $11.4 million for 2013.
