Titans finish game without Washington, Cook

The Tennessee Titans offense was already missing its main cog in Kenny Britt, and was operating with a sputtering Chris Johnson.

But at the end of Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Titans were operating the two-minute drill without leading receiver Nate Washington and their top receiving tight end Jared Cook, as both suffered injuries.

Washington fell to the ground after a 4-yard reception to open Tennessee's final ill-fated two-minute drive, saying his hip was numb. Washington apparently suffered a hip pointer in the game.

“I got hit on my hip in the first quarter, and I was pushing through it the whole game and at the end of the game I landed on my hip in the same exact spot. My whole leg just went numb,” Washington told TitanInsider.com.

And Cook suffered a lower leg injury after a reception on the previous drive when he fumbled the football.</p>

In addition, Titans receiver Lavelle Hawkins was in the game, but had left earlier with what was termed as a dislocated index finger on his right hand. Hawkins, too, said the finger was numb and that he had trouble gripping the football.

With opposing defenses still Occupying CJ, the Titans passing game has carried the offense for much of the season, even after the loss of Britt. If Cook and/or Washington miss time, it will make Matt Hasselbeck's job that much more difficult in the coming weeks.
