Titans' Hall reveals substance he tested positive for
Tennessee Titans fullback Ahmard Hall is as stand-up as they come in the NFL. Perhaps it has something to do with his time as a sergeant in the United States Marines, serving in Kosovo.
So when Hall came back from his four-game suspension for testing positive for a banned supplement, Hall revealed exactly what it was in his first media session back since rejoining the Titans.
Hall said he took some Adderall back in February, while readying to make a long drive with his family from Nashville back to his native Texas. He indicated that he got the supplement from a friend and that it is sometimes used by students pulling late-night cram sessions. Adderall also is given to children with ADHD s well.
“It was a stimulant I took to stay up on a long drive. It was Adderall. A lot of people take it for studying. You know what I'm saying. That's what I took. I think it's a prescription, but I got it from a friend,” Hall said.
With the suspension behind him now, Hall said he looks forward to opening holes for Chris Johnson again, saying he doesn't mind challenging the star running back to get the best out of him.
“With CJ, I'm not afraid to push him, and I'm not afraid to challenge him, if that's what it takes to get him to go a little bit harder than he normally might go,” Hall said. “If I can liven him up or give him a boost of confidence, I'm going to push him."
Without Hall, Johnson has just one 100-yard rushing game this season, and that came Sunday in Cleveland when he finished with 101 yards on 23 rushes.
