Titans hire Jon Robinson as general manager

The Tennessee Titans are hiring former Tampa Bay Buccaneers director of player personnel Jon Robinson as their new general manager. Robinson was previously the New England Patriots' director of college scouting. He grew up in Tennessee in Union City. The Titans didn't renew former general manager Ruston Webster's contract following a 3-13 season. Robinson edged Kansas City Chiefs director of player personnel Chris Ballard, Jacksonville Jaguars director of pro scouting Chris Polian, New York Giants vice president of player evaluation Marc Ross, former Detroit Lions general manager Martin Mayhew and former Denver Broncos general manager Ted Sundquist.
