Titans hire Mularkey to coach tight ends

Mike Mularkey will return to the NFL in 2014.

After sitting the 2013 season out to spend time with his family, Mularkey has accepted a job to become the Tennessee Titans' tight ends coach, the organization announced.

Mularkey was previously the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012 before being fired after one season. Before that he was the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons.

"As a coach I am diligent about the details of every little thing," Mularkey said, via the team's website. "I am very big into making sure my guys are prepared and I really like them to know what is going to happen before it happens. With my background and knowledge as a player and coach, I can be a resource. I do love what I do and they will see that from me.”
