Titans land Hasselbeck

Less than 24 hours after the Seattle Seahawks informed Matt Hasselbeck they were moving on, he’s moved on.

Hasselbeck has agreed to terms of a multi-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, giving them the ideal veteran to help bring along first-round draft pick Jake Locker. Hasselbeck’s personality and his resume make him a solid choice to tutor the young passer that will take some time to develop. Hasselbeck still has some game left too as exhibited by his performance in a playoff upset of the New Orleans Saints last season.

With Hasselbeck out of the mix, maybe we’ll start to see a little more quarterback activity today. The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to get as much as they can from the Arizona Cardinals in a deal for Kevin Kolb but it doesn’t look like the Cardinals have anyone bidding against them right now. Donovan McNabb remains in a little bit of limbo, needing to rework his contract in order to go from the Washington Redskins to the Minnesota Vikings where he would be asked to work with another first-round draft pick, Christian Ponder.

So, on Day 2 of free agency things are warming up a little bit.
