Titans' Morgan has knee scoped, out for opener
Derrick Morgan will miss at least the season opener in Jacksonville for the Tennessee Titans, Coach Mike Munchak said on Tuesday, after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
Morgan, the Titans' first-round pick a year ago, played in just four games as a rookie before tearing the ACL in his left knee. He had been cleared to return in July and had missed only one practice since training camp began, until he felt pain in Tennessee's second preseason game in St. Louis. He has not practiced or played since.
Morgan visited Dr. James Andrews, who performed the original surgery, on Monday and had the arthroscopic procedure to clean up the knee.
