Titans sign Ropati Pitoitua to $9.6 million deal

The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a three-year, $9.6 million contract with defensive end Ropati Pitoitua, a league source confirmed.

The deal includes a $2.175 million signing bonus, base salaries of $975,000, $2.125 million and $2,95 million. It includes $250,000 annual roster bonuses divided through each game he's active.

He has a $600,000 roster bonus due in March 2015.

Pitoitua is a 6-foot-8, 298-pounder who should add an anchor presence to the defensive line.

Last season with the Titans he started 13 games and had 91 tackles and four sacks.

Pitoitua has previous stints with the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs.
