Todd Bowles could be in play as candidate for Rams job

Todd Bowles closed the season as the interim coach for the Miami Dolphins, and he has already interviewed there as a potential permanent replacement for Tony Sparano.

Now, it appears another opportunity could be in the works. According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams have expressed “interest in interviewing” Bowles, who has been considered a top defensive coach for several years.

The top candidate in place for both the Dolphins and Rams appears to be former Titans/Oilers head coach Jeff Fisher. Many have speculated St. Louis could be the front-runner for the services of Fisher because the Rams have a clear and established quarterback of the future in Sam Bradford.

But it’s too early right now to handicap where Fisher is going to land and these teams are doing their due diligence with a host of candidates.
