Tom Brady restructures contract

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady restructured his contract Monday.

It frees up $24 million in cash for the Patriots.

Brady shifted his guarantees from skill to injury-only.

Brady can be cut without any financial ramifications now.

Brady gets $1 million more each year in 2016 ($8 million base salary), 2017 ($9 million) and 2018 ($10 million).
