Tom Gamble next to interview for Rams' GM job
Tom Gamble will interview for the St. Louis Rams’ general manager job and then there could be “two or three” second interviews given as the process marches on.
George Paton, the director of player personnel for the Minnesota Vikings, had his second interview Monday. Gamble, the director of player personnel for the San Francisco 49ers, will interview today, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Gamble will be the ninth candidate to be interviewed for the job, and Thomas reports that additional second interviews are likely.
Who could St. Louis call for a return interview? The Rams have also met with Joey Clinkscales, vice president of college scouting New York Jets; Lake Dawson, vice president of player personnel Tennessee Titans ; Brian Gaine, director of player personnel Miami Dolphins; Ron Hill, vice president of football operations NFL; Steve Keim, director of player personnel Arizona Cardinals; and Les Snead, director of player personnel Atlanta Falcons. The Rams also interviewed Ryan Grigson but he was hired as the general manager for the Indianapolis Colts.
