Tony Romo invites Tony Dungy to pay him a visit
Tony Dungy has an invitation to visit Valley Ranch.
After the retired Super Bowl winning coach questioned the leadership of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Sunday night, Romo invited him on down to take a look and talk about it.
Romo was intercepted three times in the Cowboys’ loss on Sunday to the Tennessee Titans.
“Part of being a leader at the quarterback position is protecting the football,” Dungy said, according to ESPN Dallas. “You've got to do that to be a great quarterback."
Asked about it on Thursday, Romo agreed.
"He's right," Romo said. "That's a good statement. But if you look though I think a lot of it is the decision making process. We have to protect the football. That's part of it too."
And Romo would like for Dungy to pay a visit to see just what kind of leader he is for the Cowboys.
"I'd invite him, same as Rex Ryan did,” Romo said, per the report. “He can come along if he wants to see. He can see it anytime you're out here. That's just part of it. If you'd ask any of my coaches you'd probably get a different answer. if Tony Dungy was in here, it'd be the same way."
