Tony Romo to have MRI on back

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will undergo a magnetic resonance imaging exam on his back today.

However, Romo indicated he doesn't believe it will sideline him for next week's NFC East showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Romo got hit against the Washington Redskins, a game where he threw the game-winning touchdown, exacerbating a previous injury.

Romo said this was unrelated to having a cyst on his back removed last April.

"That triggered it a little bit," Romo said. "Whatever the kid did on that one play, it really sent something that didn't feel comfortable. But it's in a completely different spot than the back stuff I had last year, so that's a good sign."
