Top special teamer Ekejiuba could have work before camp
A week after he was released by the Oakland Raiders, the word is that interest is mounting in linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba.
He was considered a core special teams performer in Oakland and was named a Pro Bowl alternate following the 2008 season. Given the timing of his release last Thursday, it was somewhat surprising. Then again, does anyting coming out of Oakland surprise you any more?
The 28-year-old has 24 tackles in his last 32 games and has drawn interest, according to a league source. How serious that interest is at this point is unknown, but with training camps opening in less than two weeks, Ekejiuba could potentially have work before then.
