Trent Richardson says benching won't happen again

Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson has been a healthy scratch.

He insists he'll be back for the AFC championship game against the New England Patriots.

Last week, he was benched for special teams in place of Michael Hill.

"That situation will never happen to me again," Richardson said. "Anybody can quote me, today, because it's never going to happen again."

Richardson says he has no weight issues.

"If it's a weight issue, I'd like to be told that," Richardson said. "I was sick for a while, that's what I thought it was, that's what I heard. You know better than me. You know more than I know."

What about his future? Richardson said: "It's no time for me to be selfish. Just wait until after the year. After the season I'm going to evaluate everything."
