Trevon Hill Lost for 2015
The big in state, Hokie commit has torn his ACL, and will be lost for the 2015 season. Hill was a four star recruit according to 247sports, and he is the fifteenth best prospect coming out of Virginia. He is an explosive defensive end from Virginia Beach that was looking to push his way into the starting lineup this fall.
Those plans will have to be put on halt as this knee injury will likely sideline him for the entirety of the upcoming season. This isn't the worst news for Hill and Hokie fans because Hill has agreed to red-shirt for his freshman year in Blacksburg. In reality, Hill may not have broken into the starting lineup this fall with Dadi Nicolas and Ken Ekanem as the likely starters. Those two are the workhorses for the defense, and they are likely to start next season as well. Hill now has the opportunity to focus on rehabilitation and strengthening his knee for close to 12 months before next year's Spring football starts up. He will be missed but not forgotten, as many Hokie fans are eager to see what the young man can do on the gridiron.
