Troubled Browns WR Josh Gordon arrested for DWI

Already in trouble with the NFL and facing a potential season-long suspension for violating the NFL drug policy, Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Josh Gordon is in trouble with the law.

He was arrested for driving while impaired after being pulled over for speeding, according to North Carolina police.

Gordon was arrested early Saturday morning in Raleigh, N.C.

"We are aware of the matter and are disappointed to learn of this situation," Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement. "We will comment further at the appropriate time."

Under the NFL policies, this would be treated as a violation of the NFL personal-conduct policy.

It's obvious that Gordon needs to get his life in order.

This will likely cause damage to his appeal hearing on the drug suspension that's set for late July.

Gordon was fined for a speeding ticket in Ohio. However, his passenger was cited for possession of marijuana.

Gordon is considered unlikely to be playing this fall, but he does have the appeal hearing to try to make his bid to be allowed to play.

If he's out for the year, it's a huge loss to the Browns' offense.

Gordon caught 87 passes for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns after serving a two-game drug suspension after testing positive for codeine.
