Turns out DeSean Jackson should be fine

The good news for the Philadelphia Eagles Friday night in Kansas City is that wide receiver DeSean Jackson is believed to have suffered on a minor neck strain.

The Eagles’ top playmaker on offense was sidelined early in the game with what some originally believed was a back injury. Jackson missed time earlier this summer with a stiff back, but coach Andy Reid cleared up the matter after the game, a 20-17 victory at Arrowhead Stadium, according to Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News.

What’s not known is how seriously injured defensive end Trent Cole is. Cole was carted to the locker room in the second quarter when he suffered an ankle injury after being stepped on. X-rays taken at the stadium did not reveal anything, but Cole is scheduled to have an MRI today, per the report.

Cole is the team’s best pass rusher and certainly the Eagles cannot afford to be without him for too long. Stay tuned.
