Two head injuries mar Bill-Broncos game

The pre-game hype surrounding the preseason game between the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos might have been around Tim Tebow taking third-team reps. But the mood on both sidelines quickly took a more serious turn with head injuries suffered by a player on each team.

According to the Buffalo News, Bills running back Johnny White, a fifth-round pick from North Carolina, suffered a head and had to be strapped to a backboard by doctors and trainers and taken to a hospital. The good news was that White was cleared to return to Buffalo with his teammates on the team flight.

According to the Denver Post, the Broncos also suffered a serious injury in the game when backup safety David Bruton suffered a head injury in the second half.

Bruton was able to leave the field in the second half with assistance, but was later put on a gurney in the locker room and transported to a hospital as well. Broncos coach John Fox would only say that Bruton, who had been playing significant minutes on special teams thus far, had a head injury.
