Undercover cops to attend Eagles-Saints game

Earlier this season, some Eagles fans assaulted a Lions fan that was wearing a Barry Sanders jersey.

The Eagles organization and the Philadelphia police are going to try to prevent anything like that from happening this week.

Though the Wild Card game between the Eagles and Saints sold out, undercover cops wearing Saints attire will attend the game, according to an ESPN report.

The hope is to let this be known so that any potential violence among Eagles fans is deterred.

It's not the first time undercover cops have been asked to help calm potential violence. Earlier this year, the Seahawks announced they would have undercover police attend their games for the same purpose.
