Unlikely Danny Amendola plays Thursday

It's possible the New England Patriots will be without receiver Danny Amendola this Thursday against the Jets, according to a report from NFL.com.

Amendola tweaked an already injured groin in the season-opener against the Buffalo Bills but was able to finish the game. He finished with 104 yards on 10 catches.

Amendola first injured his groin in a preseason game against Tampa Bay. If Amendola can't go, the Patriots will lean on Julian Edelman, who caught seven passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns against the Bills.
