Victor Cruz wants Giants to draft outside receiver

With Hakeem Nicks leaving for Indianapolis, New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz would like to get some help at the position.

In an interview with the NFL Network, Cruz said he hopes the Giants target an outside receiver early in the upcoming draft. One player he'd prefer the organization to grab, if he's available, is Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans.

Evans had a spectacular redshirt sophomore season with the Aggies in 2013. He caught 69 passes for 1,394 yards and 12 touchdowns.

"A [big-play receiver] is something we need in this offense to be successful," Cruz told NFL Network. "An outside guy that can do the job and that can help fuel all the other receivers in the locker room and put some fire up under them to get them where they have to be."
