Vikings add a lineman, looking at a cornerback
The Minnesota Vikings continued to work on adding some parts to their defense as the team firmed up a one-year contract with defensive end Mike Montgomery Monday night and worked making an addition to the back half of the unit.
The Vikings hosted cornerback Tye Hill on a visit Monday and he is choosing between Minnesota and the Tennessee Titans, according to a report by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Montgomery will provide the Vikings with some depth on the line and the team isn’t expected to learn about the fate of tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams in the StarCaps case until May.
Hill could provide some depth at another position where the Vikings have concerns with Cedric Griffin rehabilitating from a torn ACL. The former first-round draft pick by the St. Louis Rams spent last season in Atlanta.
