Vikings cut Erin Henderson

The Minnesota Vikings announced they've released linebacker Erin Henderson.

The moves doesn't come as a surprise with Henderson arrested for drunken driving again twice in a six week period.

At the time of his latest arrest, the Viking said they're "aware of the matter involving Erin Henderson. We are continuing to gather information and will have further comment at the appropriate time."

Henderson was booked into the Carver County Jail after the NFL player refused to submit to a sobriety test. He faces four DWI charges, including a second-degree charge for refusing a test.

Henderson was arrested in November for drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance.

He was absent from the team for several days for personal reasons, according to former Vikings coach Leslie Frazier and Henderson.

Henderson lost his middle linebacker spot because of the first arrest, but returned to start at middle linebacker in the Vikings' final game after a high ankle sprain ended Audie Cole's season.
