Vikings get a QB under contract
The Minnesota Vikings have got a quarterback under contract.
No, not that guy. But he could wind up being the starter. You never know.
Tarvaris Jackson has signed his tender offer from the club as a restricted free agent, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. That means the club has Brett Favre’s backup in place provided Favre decides to return as the starter. Jackson’s tender is worth $1.176 million.
At this point, most everyone expects Favre to return for a 20th season. He has to realize that to hang ’em up right now would put the team in a precarious position and Favre seemed to enjoy himself last season. But the Favre Watch will continue until Brad Childress scoops him up at the airport.
