Vikings looking for snow shoveling volunteers, and they're paying
Looking for a little stocking stuffer this year?
The Minnesota Vikings are looking for some help, and they’re willing to pay to get it.
A tip of the hat to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com for finding this nugget: the Vikings are paying volunteers to help shovel out TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota to help get it ready for Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.
According to the Vikings’ Web site, no shovel is needed and parking is free. Just show up dressed for the elements and ready to go to work. They’re using crews around the clock with the pay ranging from $10 to $15 an hour depending on when your shift is. The graveyard shift gets top dollar.
Shifts are scheduled through Sunday, but the project could be completed before then. For the Vikings’ sake, hopefully it doesn’t snow anymore.
